Эта галактика в созвездии Рака (NGC 2623) долгое время считалась обычной одиночной галактикой, пока в 2009 году не выяснилось, что это две столкнувшиеся галактики с практически слившимися ядрами. «Хвосты» столкнувшихся галактик, длиной более 50 000 световых лет, состоят из пыли, газа и голубых скоплений звезд.
Для наблюдателя внутри галактик скорее всего такое столкновение-слияние даже не почувствуется, настолько велики звездные расстояния. Галактики просто перемешаются, без каких либо последствий для возможных своих обитателей.

I like Fragmenter very much. Now I have extra motivation to change. It's a big difference – just write to myself in a paper notebook, or write in order to share my thoughts.
Fragmenter is cool – I start to think once and again why I'm so depressed and how I came to be like that.
